How to Join a Round

Time needed: 1–2 minutes

Joining a round is quick: you just need the round code from your organiser or a link/QR they’ve shared. Follow these steps to get on the board and start scoring.

Step 1: Open Leaderboard Golf

Go to leaderboard-golf.co.uk on your phone. If you’ve installed the app to your home screen, launch it from there.

Step 2: Enter the Round Code

Tap Join Round (or use the organiser’s link/QR) and type the round code exactly as given. Then continue.

Step 3: Pick Your Name

Select your name from the list. If your name isn’t listed yet, add it once and it’ll be remembered for next time.

Step 4: Check Handicap & Group

Confirm your handicap (or playing allowance) and your group/tee time if your organiser uses groups. You can edit either if needed.

Step 5: Start Scoring

Tap Start Scoring to open the hole view. Enter your gross score on each hole — Stableford/medal is calculated automatically if the round is set up for it.

Finishing the Round

When you’ve entered all holes, tap ✅ Finish Round to submit. You can still review your holes before confirming. See How to Finish a Round for details.

Troubleshooting

“Code not found”: Check you typed it exactly; ask your organiser to confirm the code is active.
Name already taken: Someone may have picked your name. Choose your name with an initial (e.g., “Alex P”).
Handicap looks wrong: Edit it on the join screen, or ask the organiser to update your profile.
