Our Mission
Golf should be about the banter, not the paperwork. Leaderboard Golf exists to make society days effortless, fair, and fun. No clipboards. No counting cards at the bar. No “who’s got the latest score?” shouts from the corner. Just a simple, shared experience where everyone can see the story of the round as it unfolds.
Players enter their scores on their phones, the clubhouse screen updates in real time, and you walk away with season-long stats and highlights. All of it in your browser — no downloads, no logins for players, no paywalls. The way golf scoring should feel in 2025: quick, social, and stress-free.
The Problem with Traditional Solutions
We did the research. Many golf scoring tools either charge subscription fees, hide useful features behind loyalty points or paid tiers, or push you through an app download before you can enter a single score. Some even pepper the experience with ads between holes. That’s not the day out anyone wants.

How It Works
1) Set up in seconds
The organiser opens Start Round, picks the course, format and date, and shares the round link or QR with the group. Prefer a single scorer? No problem — one organiser can enter scores for the whole group on a single device.
2) Players score on their phones
Each group enters scores hole-by-hole as they go. No logins for players, no shared devices unless you choose to, no waiting at the 19th.
3) Clubhouse Mode on the big screen
Switch to Clubhouse Mode and watch the leaderboard update live — perfect for TVs and projectors with that Sky-Sports feel.
…and the season writes itself
Course records, Hall of Fame/Shame, Eclectic and season stats build automatically. The stories practically tell themselves.

The People Behind Leaderboard Golf
Hi, I’m Barry Carter — a self-professed semi-good golfer, currently playing off 5.1 (helped, I’ll admit, by a generous summer rollout on rock-hard fairways). I built Leaderboard Golf because our society days needed less faff and more fun.
I’m the kind of person who loves a tidy leaderboard almost as much as a tidy 7-iron. When I couldn’t find a live scoring system that was truly simple and genuinely free, I decided to make one. The rest is just iterating with mates, listening to societies, and shipping small improvements week after week.
